bottlesSuncoast organic farm was created in 1991 to grow organic fruits and vegetables. in 2003 we planted our first tuscan italian olive trees. they have grown exceptionally well and fall 2007 was our first harvest. we are a small farm so we can give special attention to detail. our orchardes are certified organic by the california certified organic farmers or ccof. all our olives are grown for oil and harvested in the fall of the year. we have two main tuscan olives called frantoio and leccino with a few pendolino and maurino to help as pollinators.

The combination of oilve varities produces a fall oil that is high quality, delicate, fruity, with a slightly grassy, spicy, peppery kick and a smooth, fluid finish with an artichoke bouquet. our tuscan orgainc oil is certified extra virgin by the california olive oil council or cooc. so you can be guaranteed that our oil is extra virgin and meets the highest standards set by cooc. our olives are pressed by master winemaker and olive oil craftsman alessio carli at pietra santa winery using a granite stone mill and the latest italian olive oil pressing equipment to produce the 1st cold pressed, fresh organic oil.. each bottle is dated to when the olives were pressed and to when the oil was placed in the bottle (by lot number), so you can be assured the freshest possible oil. before bottling, the oil is stored in stainless steel vats, air tight, to keep the oil fresh. you will receive the oil in a beautiful clear bottle to use as soon as you received it. enjoy the oil in good health.

virgin oil logoWe all know that real olive oil is beneficial to our health. The question is how do we know we are getting real olive oil? The answer is to find the source of the oil and buy directly from the grower, then select the oil taste that you like.

We know that selecting oilve oil can be challenging and that price does not always guarantee the best oil. Remember that producing high quality extra virgin organic oil is expensive to the grower. Organic oil takes special care so look for growers who are certified organic. Also look for oil that is certified by the california oilve oil council, cooc. This certification from cooc ensures that the oil is free of defects and is truly extra virgin and meets their high standard of quality.

Lastly choose an oilve oil that agrees with your taste. We believe that excellant oil must have positive flavors that are described as delicate, fruity, grassy, spicy, peppery, slightly bitter, and aromatic.

We guatantee our olive oil meets the highest standards. Our olives are grown organically. Our olives are hand harvested, carefully handled and milled with a granite stone mill within 12 to 24 hours of harvest and first cold pressed. The oil is stored in stainless steel air tight vats and bottled only when we receive orders to deliver you the freshest oil possible. We would like to emphasize that great care goes into producing our oil. I am often reminded of what my grandfather Leonardo Bonanno would say: "fatto con amore" or "grown with love".

Enjoy, and good health,
